The German youngster is not yet at the level necessary for Tony Pulis.

West Brom take on Arsenal this weekend in the Premier League and were being put through their paces earlier today by manager Tony Pulis.

One man snapped in action in their training session today was Serge Gnabry, who will not be able to play in the game.

The German youngster is currently on a season long loan at The Hawthorns from the Gunners meaning he will not be present in the West Brom squad come Saturday afternoon.

Not that he would have been anyway.

Gnabry's loan spell at West Brom has not been memorable for the right reasons.

He has not featured for the Baggies since the 3-0 defeat against Norwich City on the 23rd September and has since felt the wrath of Pulis.

The West Brom boss was quoted by the Express and Star in October as stating:

“Serge has come here to play games but he just hasn’t been for me, at the moment, at that level to play the games,” said Pulis.

“He’s come from academy football and not played much league football."

He won't play again this weekend which will stretch his run without club football to two months and Arsenal must now be beginning to doubt whether West Brom was the best place for him to develop.

Meanwhile the player himself must do more to force his way into the West Brom starting XI.
