Samir Nasri has never been the happiest of chaps but even he outdid himself in announcing that he would be sidelined for three months.
Manchester City and Arsenal fans alike will be only too aware that, when it comes to moodiness, they don’t come much sulkier than Samir Nasri.
The 28-year-old has thrown plenty in the way of strops over the course of his career as a footballer to date, but his latest could arguably be the oddest yet.
Taking to Instagram to make a surprise announcement to his fans, Nasri not only revealed that he would be absent for the next three months through injury, he did it with a picture that was just so “Nasri” it made our faces hurt.
Seemingly taking inspiration from compatriot and fellow former Arsenal and Manchester City favourite Nicolas ‘Le Sulk’ Anelka, Samir looks all kinds of sad in this picture.
Perhaps it’s not just the injury that is playing on Nasri’s mind, though?
Maybe he’s finally grown tired of his new hairstyle, which makes him look a bit like Eminem in his prime.
Or maybe he’s fed up with the décor in his house? I mean, judging from that rather drab background he’s either got questionable taste or took the picture in a rather bland looking hotel meeting room.
Whatever the case, he’s sad, we’re sad and Manchester City fans are probably a bit sad too.
Mind you, they can always fall back on David Silva, Jesus Navas, Raheem Sterling or Kevin De Bruyne can’t they?
Yeah, they’re probably not sad at all.
