The pundit and former manager has been speaking positively about Leeds once again.
Ian Holloway says he loved what Steve Evans said about Alex Mowatt recently, according to his regular Sky Sports predictions column.
Indeed, the Leeds United boss has unleashed the 20-year-old, so to speak, and recently spoke about helping him with his confidence.
And Holloway is a big fan of that kind of approach from Evans, going on to praise Mowatt himself for his recent form. The youngster netted a wonderful long-range strike against Huddersfield Town in his last Championship clash, having done so against Cardiff the game before, as well.
Holloway told Sky Sports: "Evans has really got Leeds going. I loved what he said about Alex Mowatt, saying how he's helped him with his confidence. Mowatt's two goals before the international break were as good as anybody in any league around the world."
Mowatt may get a free reign once again if he starts v Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon. The Millers are struggling right now and Neil Redfearn hasn't yet made an impact since succeeding Steve Evans at the Yorkshire club.
Evans, however, has clearly made a more immediate impact at Elland Road and Leeds fans will no doubt hope for more of the same from the Scot as long as he stays in charge.
As Holloway says, Mowatt is one of the biggest examples of Evans' influence. Can Leeds make it four wins (three in the Championship) in a row this weekend?
