The Argentine would not discount the club's chances of making the Champions League this season.
The departure of boss Nigel Pearson had many convinced they were destined for the drop. The appointment of Cluadio Ranieri did not help the predictions and the loss of a star player also counted against them.
Argentine midfielder Esteban Cambiasso left the club at the end of his contract to join up with Greek side Olympiakos - after an excellent campaign in the Premier League.
However The Foxes have thrived this term. Inspired by the excellent form of Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy they are currently third in the Premier League and are showing no signs of slipping any time soon.
So can they make the Champions League?
That was the question put to Cambiasso in a question and answer session with UEFA today and the Argentine certainly believes that dreams come true:
"Football is made of dreams. I imagine that Leicester City have different aspirations than that this season, but dreams are there to be realised."
If Leicester did end up finishing in the top four it would be a truly sensational achievement for the club considering the fact many a football 'expert' tipped Leicester for the drop at the start of the campaign.
