Remi Garde may not have been at Aston Villa for long, but he has already earned praise from Everton boss Roberto Martinez.
Martinez was a keen observer of Villa’s match against Manchster City two weekends’ ago, which was Garde’s first game in charge of the Claret and Blues.
And the Spanish boss was impressed by what he saw from Villa’s squad, as they picked up a 0-0 draw against the current league leaders.
RM: "I watched Aston Villa against Man City and they were very impressive. The new manager has a clear vision & great experience." #EFCvAVFC— Everton (@Everton) November 19, 2015
Martinez’s Everton side are set to take on Villa this weekend, as the Toffees look to heap further misery on the Midlands outfit.
Villa have been in dire form throughout the campaign so far, and they currently prop up the Premier League table.
The pressure is on them to start picking up points, but a trip to Everton is a rather daunting prospect.
The Toffees have shown signs of promise so far this season, and they go into their match against Villa unbeaten in their last three fixtures.
