Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has reacted on social media site Twitter after netting his first England goal against France on Tuesday evening.
Alli was handed his first senior start for his country against France, and his performance was incredible.
The 19-year-old looked fully assured in his surroundings, and his stunning goal set the Three Lions on their way to a 2-0 win.
Alli’s rise has been remarkable since he linked up with Tottenham over the summer - with a deal to take him from the MK Dons having been struck in January.
Words can't describe this feeling! Delighted to get my first goal for England tonight at Wembley and win 2-0! Thank you for all the messages— dele alli (@dele_alli36) November 17, 2015
The skillful central midfielder was playing for the Dons in League One last term, but he has quickly risen to prominence since switching to White Hart Lane.
Alli is now playing a key role for Tottenham, and he is being touted as an England regular for many years to come.
Alli was not the only England player to react on social media after the match, with Stoke City’s Jack Butland and Manchester United’s Phil Jones posting poignant messages after the game.
