Crystal Palace are reportedly set to hand Damien Delaney a new deal in January.
According to a report in the Daily Mirror, Damien Delaney is set to earn a new contract at Crystal Palace, due to his excellent form this season.
Delaney has played nine times for Palace already this campaign, and his performances have impressed Alan Pardew.
The 34-year-old may be reaching the twilight of his career, but Pardew is keen to keep him at Selhurst Park.
As a result, the centre-back is set to be offered a new deal at Palace in January, which will keep him with the Eagles’ until 2017.
The new contract will secure Delaney’s future at Palace, but Julian Speroni’s is reportedly on doubt.
The Argentine stopper has fallen down the pecking order at the Eagles this season, and has struggled for first-team appearances.
He needs to play another 19 games to trigger an automatic extension, and it seems unlikely that he will play regularly enough to activate this clause.
