The goal-scoring midfielder is said to be attracting interest from Celtic.
The young Slovakian is predominantly a defensive midfielder, but you would not think that from his recent goal-scoring record.
Able to play in a holding role or more centrally, Bero has already scored 11 goals in just 18 appearances for Trencin this season. That includes nine goals in 15 league games while he also has two assists in that time.
So good as he been this season that he has played a direct role (either scoring or assisting) 11 goals in his last 10 league appearances, so on that basis why wouldn’t Celtic be interested?
The Sun report claims Bero is attracting interest from across Europe, but if Celtic can muscle in quickly they may just pull off another transfer master-stroke.
After all, Celtic manager Ronny Deila has shown he is not afraid to give young players a chance and while Bero has been in sensational form he will still need to transfer that from the Slovakian league to new surroundings.
A player who is both an effective defensive midfielder and a prolific goal-scorer? Surely it cannot be long until Celtic make their move.
