The attacking midfielder was pleased to see the events at Wembley yesterday.
England took on France yesterday in an international friendly which carried huge significance.
In light of the recent terrorist attacks in Paris the FA and Wembley put on a fantastic show of solidarity with their French neighbours - standing defiant against the tyranny of the so called Islamic State.
The England fans sang along to 'La Marseillaise', the players united for the pre-game team photo and the Tricolor was everywhere.
The winger, who joined Newcastle from Marseille in the summer, was not in the France squad for the game after some ropy performances on the North East.
But he must have been watching as he posted this Tweet yesterday:
What incredible people are the english football fans!!!Thank you for the fantastic support to my country in Wembley! pic.twitter.com/13EBTzX5ro— Florian Thauvin (@FlorianThauvin) November 17, 2015
Thauvin was clearly moved by the poignancy in which Wembley stood alongside France in their time of need.
The Newcastle United attacker summed up how many felt about the solidarity shown at Wembley last night.
