The Tottenham Hotspur player was clearly happy with an emphatic result for his country.
The young midfielder has been blighted by injury this season and things did not get much better for him when he started for his country against Tanzania in a World Cup qualifier on Tuesday but was taken off just 36 minutes into the match.
There was no sign of injury at the time and having only just been booked it may well have been a precautionary measure, but whatever the reason the Tottenham player was clearly happy with Algeria’s impressive 7-0 victory.
Taking to social media a day later, Bentaleb wrote, “Back to London after a great result yesterday with my boy Adlene Guedioura back to Prem business!”
Bentaleb was travelling back to the capital with the Watford player and the two men will soon be focusing on matches against West Ham United and Manchester United respectively.
Tottenham are currently fifth in the Premier League, just five points behind current leaders Manchester City, but they will have to be at their best to get one over the Hammers on Sunday.
Bentaleb has only featured four times for Tottenham so far this season but having got 36 minutes earlier this week, he may find himself on the bench for his club a few days later.
