Song is yet to play for the Hammers this season, but he should be available for selection when Slaven Bilic’s side return to action after the international break.
And Antonio is looking forward to linking up with the former Barcelona man for the first time.
"It’s a huge boost," he said. "He’s a great player, with a lot of experience, and someone who can break things down but also makes things happen. It’s a great addition to the squad, especially as we’ve already started the season so well. For him to come back into the squad is massive.
"You need quality in depth and he certainly has that. We have a great squad as it is, his return will push them to be even better and that will push us up higher the league."
Song could come back into West Ham’s team for their match against Tottenham Hotspur, and if he can guide them up the Premier League table, as Antonio is predicting, that will be a major achievement.
The Hammers are already in sixth place after making a brilliant start to the new campaign, and they appear to be one of the most dangerous sides in England.
Song’s return has come at a good time for West Ham, due to an injury which Dimitri Payet picked up in their most recent contest against Everton.
Payet had been West Ham’s talisman over the early part of the campaign, and they will now be hoping that Song can take on the mantle, upon his return to fitness.
