HITC Sport understands Fleetwood striker Jamille Matt is set to join Stevenage on loan.
Stevenage have lined up a loan move for Fleetwood Town forward Jamille Matt, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Stevenage boss Teddy Sheringham has been looking to bolster his attacking options as he looks to lift the side higher up the League Two table.
Stevenage are currently languishing in 20th spot in the table, just five points above the drop zone, and goals have been a problem for the side, having scored just 21 goals in 17 games this term.
Matt currently finds himself down the pecking order at Fleetwood after working his way back to fitness after a serious leg injury.
The 24-year-old missed all of last season with the ailment, but he has now battled back to fitness, making 17 appearances so far this season.
The recent signing of Everton's David Henen on a one-month loan has pushed Matt further down the pecking order at Highbury and Steven Pressley is happy to loan him out.
A number of Football League clubs have expressed an interest in the skilful forward, but Stevenage have moved quickly to bring him to Broadhall Way.
