Sunderland are set to travel to Selhurst Park after the international break, and they appear to have a very tough test ahead of them.
The Eagles won their last fixture 2-1 against Liverpool, and Kaboul knows that his teammates will have to be at the top of their game if they are to have any chance of picking up the points against Alan Pardew’s men.
“Palace have a good team and they’ve done well since the beginning of the season,” he told Sunderland’s official website. “The win they got at Liverpool will make them confident but we have to be ready for the game ourselves.
“I think we have a chance to get a good result there if we can get ourselves 100% ready and work hard together.”
Sunderland and Palace have had very contrasting seasons to date, with the two teams currently occupying spots at opposite ends of the Premier League table.
The Black Cats are currently in 19th place, and they are already four points away from safety.
Palace, meanwhile, have been in brilliant form since the start of the new campaign – and they are looking like one of the teams to beat in England.
Pardew’s side are currently in eighth position in the Premier League standings, and a win over Sunderland could push them up as high as fifth.
