Steve Evans reportedly not giving up on Kyle Lafferty and Liam Bridcutt loan moves

Leeds United's manager is still reportedly desperate to bring the pair to Elland Road.

According to a report from the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United manager Steve Evans is refusing to give up in his pursuit of Sunderland’s Liam Bridcutt and Norwich City’s Kyle Lafferty.

The pair have been linked with loan moves to Elland Road but with the emergency window closing next Thursday time is running out to ensure the Whites bring in what would be two quality short-term additions.

Lafferty has barely featured for Norwich this season but his form for Northern Ireland during the Euro 2016 qualifiers has been nothing short of sensational.

As for Bridcutt, the midfielder has not played a single minute of first-team football for the Black Cats this season and has only turned out once for their under-21s.

There is still time to push deals over the line but that will require both clubs to agree and the players must want to swap their current situations for a spell playing for Leeds’ talented young side.

That should not be an issue when you consider how little the two have featured in recent months, but despite the YEP suggesting the duo remain Evans’ top targets, with every day that passes their moves to Leeds will look less likely.
