One young Aston Villa player has made contact with another after he put pen to paper on a new deal.
Green is a 17-year-old left winger who can also operate on the opposite flank or as an attacking midfielder if required, and on Monday he signed a new contract that will keep him at Villa Park until at least the summer of 2018.
That is great news for those fans who have seen Green excel in the youth ranks and impress for Villa’s under-21s, but he will know the hard work has only just begun.
As for Hepburn-Murphy, he recently put pen to paper on a new deal himself, not long after becoming the youngest player ever to represent Villa in the Premier League era after he came off the bench against Sunderland last season.
Writing on Twitter this week, the Villa youngster said, “Congratulations to my bro Andre Green on signing his first professional contract; many more to come.”
The two players have the talent to come through the ranks together and one day form a formidable attacking partnership for Villa’s first-team, but that is a dream for another day.
