England take on France later this week with players from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United set to feature.
England finish the latest international break with a friendly against France on Tuesday evening.
Three Lions manager Roy Hodgson has recently gone on record to suggest he will be fielding a relatively inexperienced side against Les Bleus following a spate of injuries to senior stars, and the recent call-ups for Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Ryan Mason mean this should be very much an England side of the future.
It remains to be seen if Hodgson will change his goalkeeper or remain with Joe Hart but with so many young players seemingly taking to the pitch expect the Manchester City stopper to bring some much needed experience to proceedings.
Further forward Everton’s John Stones and United’s Chris Smalling look set to be the first-choice centre-back pairing in the future so it makes sense to use them here, with Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne and Arsenal’s Kieran Gibbs occupying the full-back positions.
In midfield we could see Tottenham duo Dele Alli and Eric Dier replicate their outstanding club form while Lingard would add devastating pace down the flank and Raheem Sterling deserves another chance to impress.
That would potentially leave a front-two of Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane but only Hodgson knows for certain at this stage.
