The Rotherham boss will face former side Leeds for the first time this weekend.
Leeds United face Rotherham United for their second Yorkshire derby in a row this weekend.
But the clash will be more notable for the Whites coming up against former manager Neil Redfearn.
Indeed, Redfearn spent a number of years working at Thorp Arch and Elland Road, which came to a head as he became head coach of the first team last season.
The 50-year-old enjoyed plenty of highs at Leeds and took a sinking ship under Darko Milanic, turning it into a stable Championship outfit that avoided relegation.
There were lows, too, of course, as United still suffered bad runs of form under Redfearn. The coach's breakdown in relationship with Massimo Cellino brought a sad end to his years of service at Elland Road, while the suspension of assistant Steve Thompson left Redfearn stranded.
But the 50-year-old certainly left with his head held high and the respect and admiration of the fans he had served for so long. Redfearn should get a great reception when he comes back to Leeds and his immediate task is sorting Rotherham out, with Steve Evans' former side struggling for form since 'Redders' came in.
Here, though, are the best pictures of Redfearn's time at Leeds ahead of his reunion with the Yorkshire club:
