Aston Villa star has wished his injured teammate well.
Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has sent his best wishes to teammate Jordan Amavi after the club's worst fears were concerned.
A statement on the club's official website confirmed on Sunday that the defender has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will miss the rest of the 2015/16 season.
Amavi was a summer signing from French club Nice and had quickly established himself as Aston Villa's first choice left-back. For now they could have to turn to Kieran Richardson in his place.
He suffered the injury in Thursday night's match for France's under-21 side against Northern Ireland, with it immediately clear as he went down that it was likely to be serious in nature.
Grealish's message illustrates how highly regarded he is among his teammates, while Gary Gardner was another to extend his sympathy.
Wishing my brother a speedy recovery! You will be back strong bro @JordanAmavi— Gary Gardner (@22Gards) November 15, 2015
21-year-old Amavi himself had earlier in the day posted a message displaying his determination to fight back from the injury blow
