Supporters tell Twitter they want Everton to sign Andriy Yarmolenko in January

Andriy Yarmolenko was superb for Ukraine against Slovenia.

Everton fans took to Twitter during Ukraine’s clash with Slovenia to once again voice their opinion in favour of talented winger Andriy Yarmolenko joining the club.

The Dynamo Kiev ace has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, with the Express accrediting Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton with a keen interest during a report last month.

It appeared during the summer that the Toffees were going to be the most likely to sign him yet despite a bid being made, as per a report in the BBC, a move to Merseyside failed to materialise.

The 26-year-old has netted 74 goals in 185 league matches for Kiev, a quite stunning record considering he is largely a winger or an outside forward who primarily creates for his teammates.

On Saturday, he was given another opportunity to showcase his talents to the world by means of his country’s Euro 2016 qualification playoff tie against Slovenia.

In what many thought would be a close encounter, Ukraine dominated throughout and took a commanding 2-0 first-leg lead with Yarmolenko opening the scoring in Lviv after 22 minutes.

As he continued to pull the strings in the second half, Everton fans tuning in were left ruing what they missed out on though hope still remains of a potential deal in the future.

Writing on Twitter after the game, the Toffees’ support made it clear he remains a popular transfer option.
