The midfielder could be back for the Boxing Day clash with Southampton.
Wilshere has not played for Arsenal so far this term after suffering a hairline fracture in his leg at the end of last campaign.
He has been recovering since then, missing out on his side’s strong start to the Premier League, which sees them currently sitting joint-top of the table.
That recovery has gone according to plan, claim the Mirror, and he could now be set to return for the busy Christmas and New Year period.
A return around that time would see him back fit for the clash with Southampton on Boxing Day, the home game with Bournemouth two days later and the clash with Newcastle at the start of January.
The news is sure to come as a boost to manager Arsene Wenger, who currently has to guide his side through an injury crisis that has decimated his squad.
While the majority of those players will be back when Wilshere returns, this period has demonstrated the necessity for a fully fit squad - and having all Arsenal's players available could prove vital come the end of the season.
