N’Golo Kante and Yohan Cabaye have been superb this season.
Cabaye joined Palace from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, opting for a reunion with boss Alan Pardew over fellow interested Premier League clubs.
It was a real statement of intent on Palace’s side, breaking their record transfer fee on a player who only last season was playing Champions League football and winning the French title.
And Cabaye certainly has lived up to the hype in South London, putting in a number of stunning performances as he acts as a deep-lying playmaker alongside James McArthur.

As per the table provided by Opta Stats, Cabaye has even added a reliable defensive side to his game as he produces numerous tackles and interceptions per match.
His total of 46 interceptions for the campaign is currently bettered by only one other player, a fellow Ligue 1 import N’Golo Kante who surprise package Leicester City signed from SM Caen.
The 24-year-old joined the Foxes with a sterling reputation as one of the best defensive midfielders in France, a tag which looks entirely credible based on his performances thus far.
Kante has been a rock for Claudio Ranieri’s men, providing a shield in-front of his back four and giving confidence to his fellow attacking players to go out and express themselves in the final third.
Leicester have scored bags of goals this season, yet they’ve also been resolute at the back despite shipping a rather alarming number of goals in their opening 12 league matches.
No player has made more interceptions than Kante as he tops this charts with 48, a superb tally.
