Tottenham’s Mousa Dembele expected to be fit for West Ham clash

The London Evening Standard report that the Belgium international is likely to be able to feature next weekend.

Tottenham have seemingly received an injury boost ahead of next weekend’s clash with West Ham, as the London Evening Standard suggest that Mousa Dembele will be fit to face the Hammers.

The gifted Belgian midfielder has been in sparkling form for the Lilywhites in recent weeks, with the former Fulham man thriving in a more advanced role for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

However, Dembele sat out his nation’s 3-1 win over Italy in an international fixture last night due to a calf ailment picked up in training.

The extent of the knock was not initially clear, but the London Evening Standard have moved quickly to ease the White Hart Lane faithful’s fears and claim that Dembele will be able to feature for his club after the international break.

Spurs are on an excellent run of form and are unbeaten in their last 11 games in the Premier League, sparking hopes that Pochettino’s men can win a place in the top four this season.

West Ham are also playing well this term and have been a bogey team for their London rivals over the years - as such Spurs will want to field their strongest side for the clash at White Hart Lane next Sunday.
