Shaka Hislop’s amusing response when asked if David Moyes should manage Celtic

Shaka Hislop suggests that David Moyes should not take charge of Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

Former Newcastle United and West Ham United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop has told ESPN FC that David Moyes would be wasted at Celtic.

Ronny Deila is the manager of Scottish Premiership giants Celtic at the moment, but he is under pressure due to the Bhoys’ disappointing results in Europe under him.

Former Everton and Manchester United boss Moyes is without a managerial job at the moment, having been sacked by Spanish club Real Sociedad earlier this month.

Former Newcastle and West Ham goalkeeper Hislop believes that the Scotsman should not take charge of Celtic, joking that even he would win the league title in Scotland with the Hoops.

“I think David Moyes would be wasted at Celtic, in all honesty,” the former Trinidad and Tobago international told ESPN FC.

“I mean, Celtic could win the Scottish Premiership with me as manager, in all honesty. I think David Moyes has a lot to offer to a very good club in Europe.”

Moyes is a very good manager who did a great job at Everton from 2002 to 2013.

Despite his failures at United and Sociedad, the Scotsman remains someone who should be given another chance in the Premier League.

Celtic are a big club and have a huge tradition, but they have not done anything great in Europe under Deila.

Would Moyes be able to lead the Hoops to the group stage of the Champions League?
