Nadir Ciftci says his favourite game & goal both came against Rangers

The Celtic forward has been reflecting on his career so far.

Celtic forward Nadir Ciftci says some of his best memories have come against Rangers, according to the club's official website.

With comments that will likely delight Bhoys supporters, the 23-year-old says the best game he played in was against Rangers for Dundee United, while he was also able to pick out one of his strikes against the Gers as his most memorable goal.

Indeed, the forward told the Celtic site: "The best game I played in was against Rangers for Dundee United. The atmosphere was brilliant and I enjoyed and it meant a lot to the club getting to a cup final."

And on his favourite goal, Ciftci said: "There are a few I could pick but one that was memorable for me was my goal against Rangers for Dundee United in the Scottish Cup semi-final."

Ciftci's comments are no doubt designed to please Celtic fans, although there seems to be honesty at play, too - the 23-year-old has simply enjoyed his time against Rangers!

Alongside Leigh Griffiths and Carlton Cole, Ronny Deila now has an effective strike force in theory.

But it's about Ciftci delivering and, when he is fit enough, Cole as well. There is no questioning Griffiths's red-hot form yet he could always do with a little help from his friends - especially in Europe.

Celtic host Kilmarnock when they return to action after the international break, before playing Ajax in the Europa League, also at Parkhead.
