Lukaku signed for Everton from Chelsea back in 2014, for a fee which the BBC valued at £28 million.
And Le Tissier believes that the Belgian international is starting to show why the Toffees paid so much money to bring him to Goodison Park.
“He’s looking closer to that valuation now than he did last season,” he said. “He’s playing with a whole heap of confidence. He’s probably as close to that £28 million now than he’s ever been since he’s been there.”
Lukaku has netted nine goals in 15 matches for Everton this season, and he has led the line expertly.
The powerful forward has started to develop into the complete player, and he looks ruthless in front of goal.
Lukaku is clearly full of confidence, and he is thriving in a Toffees team which has been structured to get the best out of him.
The 22-year-old striker has helped Everton move into ninth place in the Premier League table, with Roberto Martinez’s side’s next fixture coming after the international break against struggling Aston Villa.
