Emiliano Martinez is set to miss Wolverhampton Wanderers' next match against Ipswich Town, but Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Kortney Hause are close to fitness.

Kenny Jackett has told the Express and Star that Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez could miss their next match against Ipswich Town.

Wolves take on the Tractor Boys in two weekends’ time, after they return to action from the international break.

And it seems that Martinez could be left on the sidelines, after he picked up a thigh injury against Burnley last Saturday.

“There is quite a bit of damage in his tissue,” Jackett said.

“It does look like he has a problem with it. I’d put him as doubtful for Ipswich.”

Wolves have good options in goal, and Martinez is likely to be replaced by Carl Ikeme against Ipswich.

Ikeme is a very reliable stopper at Championship level, and there are few doubts over his ability to cover for the Arsenal loanee.

One area of the team where Wolves have been short of numbers in recent weeks, though, has been at centre-back, but it seems that two of their key defenders are close to making returns.

Both Ethan Ebanks-Landell and Kortney Hause have been on the treatment table of late, but Jackett has confirmed that they should both be available for selection again in the near future.

“They’re both at the end stage of their rehabilitation,” the 53-year-old boss revealed.
