Everton youngster Ryan Ledson has expressed his joy on Twitter, after netting for England under-19’s against Holland.

England’s Young Lions drew 2-2 with Holland in a pulsating friendly encounter on Thursday afternoon.

And Ledson was delighted to have got on the scoresheet in the fixture, with his attention now turning to a match against Japan on Sunday.

In the match against Holland, England had been 2-0 down, but they staged a fine comeback to restore parity.

Ledson scored England’s first goal, before Tammy Abraham netted late on to complete the fight back.

Ledson’s goal further enhanced his reputation as one of the top young talents in the country.

Although the midfielder has only made one senior appearance for Everton to date, there are still high hopes for his future, and Roberto Martinez is sure to have a keen eye on his progress over the international break.
