Spain will be favourites to win the match at the Estadio Jose Rico Perez in Alicante, but the Three Lions will be determined to make a point tonight.
It has been 15 games and 17 months since England last tasted defeat, when they failed to qualify from their group at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.
Roy Hodgson’s side had a 100% record in the Euro 2016 qualifying campaign, and the players will be keen on extending that run against Spain this evening.
Spain lost just once in qualifying, but they have also been beaten by France, Germany and the Netherlands in friendly matches since also being knocked out of the 2014 World Cup in the group stages.
This is how Spain and England will line up against each other in Alicante this evening:
Spain XI: Casillas; Mario, Bartra, Pique, Alba; Busquets, Cesc, Thiago, Iniesta; Alcacer, Costa
England XI: Hart (Manchester City); Walker (Tottenham Hotspur), Bertrand (Southampton), Carrick (Manchester United), Jones (Manchester United), Smalling (Manchester United), Lallana (Liverpool) Delph (Manchester City), Barkley (Everton) Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) Sterling (Manchester City)
