The 24-year-old Celtic playmaker underwhelmed again on Thursday night, this time for his country.
Indeed, Celtic's Player of the Year from last season hasn't quite hit the heights of yesteryear this time around, with plenty of Bhoys fans getting behind the playmaker but highlighting the fact he has struggled.
Johansen has suffered from back trouble this term, while his agent recently defended his form, suggesting his critics have an agenda against Hoops boss Ronny Deila.
The Norwegian, however, failed to fire during Norway's Euro 2016 play-off against Hungary. Nor did his team-mates, of course, as Hungary left Norway with a 1-0 first-leg win.
And both Celtic and Norway fans took to social media to discuss the 24-year-old's poor showing. Some Norwegians said it was the worst they had seen Johansen play, while Celtic's supporters joked that he is performing for his country the same way he would for the Scottish champions.
Here's a selection of the Twitter reaction to Johansen's performance - he needs to find form soon, both for Norway's Euro 2016 hopes and Celtic's overall:
That is the worst I've ever seen Stefan Johansen play. That is the best I've ever seen Omar Elabdellaoui play.— Brendan Husebø (@BrendanHusebo) November 12, 2015
Johansen playing the same way for Norway as he does for celtic#wasteofajersey— Paul Kerr (@Grannochbhoy) November 12, 2015
Frustrating from Norway, Johansen playing as though he still had a Celtic shirt on (i.e. average). #NORvHUN— Thomas Michael Duke (@Grandoldduke93) November 12, 2015
Has anyone told johansen that he's playing for Norway not celtic— 4-4-2-TipShare (@442TipShare) November 12, 2015
I see Johansen is as ineffective and greedy for Norway as he is for Celtic— Jock Harley (@weejock67) November 12, 2015
