Leeds United take on Wycombe Wanderers later this evening.
Leeds have taken the rather unusual step of arranging a friendly in mid-season to ensure that their players remain sharp over the international break.
Although the Whites are expected to name a strong line-up for the game, Evans is likely to give some his fringe players a chance in the contest.
Couzens said: “He’s talked about Erwin quite highly, and I think he’s glad that he’s got him back off loan.
“I think a lot of Leeds fans want to see him out on the pitch, so this is a great opportunity for him, because I’m sure he’ll have some part of the match.”
Erwin was brought to Leeds during the summer transfer window, but he is yet to make his debut for the club.
The Scottish striker has recently been out on loan at Bury, and it seems that there are other options ahead of him in the pecking order at Elland Road.
Erwin has only recently started working with Evans though, after returning from his temporary spell at Gigg Lane, and he will be hoping to make an impression on the new Leeds boss.
The 21-year-old scored five goals in 34 matches for Motherwell last term, and he will be looking to prove he can perform in the English game now.
