West Ham's latest pro pays tribute to fellow youngsters Josh Cullen and Reece Oxford

Marcus Browne has signed on the dotted line until 2018.

West Ham have handed a first professional contract to their latest youth team talent with the news of Marcus Browne signing on the dotted line.

The midfielder turns 18 next month and has already been with West Ham for nearly ten years having joined the club aged just eight.

The future for Browne would appear bright considering the development of two other West Ham youngsters this season.

Reece Oxford has proved a real talent in the West Ham first-team and Josh Cullen has also made the breakthrough. The latter is also in stunning form for the Republic of Ireland under-21s of late.

The new signing says that the progression of this pair has certainly inspired him to work hard on his own ambition to make it into the West Ham first-team.

He told the official West Ham website:

"I've played with both Reece Oxford and Josh Cullen so it's good to see where they're at. I'm pleased for both of them and it gives us encouragement that young players can do it, so I'll keep plugging away and hopefully I'll be at the top soon."

West Ham of course have a proud record of producing top young talent and in the case of this latest product that will be no different.

The Hammers will now hope that Browne can continue to impress and become a fully fledged member of the West Ham first-team in the years to come.
