The forward is determined to continue improving with City's squad of world class talent around him.

Speaking to the Mirror, Raheem Sterling has insisted he does not regret swapping Liverpool for Manchester City in the summer.

The young forward made the big money move to Manchester in what was arguably one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer.

He did not leave Anfield on good terms though, with the Reds faithful very upset at the actions of both him and his agent in the build up to the move.

With City top of the table at present, and Sterling playing a big part in that, he has insisted he has no regrets over his move to the Etihad.

"It's what I have done and I have no regrets,” he told the Mirror.

"They are both two big football clubs and I am just happy to be where I am and I am happy with my development at this moment in time. I want to continue my development and win trophies.”

The young forward also believes that playing with City’s plethora of world class talent will only help him to continue improving.

Sterling has already built up relationships within his new side, with the early stages of the season having seen a particularly exciting link up with David Silva developing.

And he says working with players like that, as well as the likes of Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Joe Hart means that the only thing he can do is continue to improve his all round game.

"There is only one thing you can do and that is improve with players like that, who have been around for many years and achieving stuff,” he added.

"I am just happy to be in a squad like that and hopefully I can continue my development and win trophies in the future with the football club."
