The Brazilian midfielder shone in Finland.
Unfortunately the player is not yet eligible for a work permit to play in the United Kingdom so he was sent out on loan to the Finnish outfit Seinajoen Jalkapallokerho, or SJK for short, in September.
He has had a productive time playing in the Veikkausliga, Finland's top-flight, and SJK were crowned champions for the first time in their history last month.
The Finnish league is now over, so what next for this talented Brazilian.
There will surely be no shortage of suitors for his signature in the winter and Liverpool would do well to send him out on loan once again.
Of course they should be thinking about sending somewhere where the football will be a step up and similar to the style Jurgen Klopp will want to be emulating at Anfield.
Germany would be an ideal option but even the Netherlands would be a great place for him to ply his trade in a temporary spell until he is ready and eligible for the Liverpool first-team.
However the club did recently send young Nigerian Taiwo Awoniyi, who is in a similar situation to Allan, on loan to FSV Frankfurt in the 2.Bundesliga and this could be the perfect option for the Brazilian midfielder.
Liverpool must choose his next move carefully if Allan is to fulfill his potential and become a future first-team figure at Anfield. Germany or Holland would be the best bets.
