Alli and Dier have formed a wonderful midfield partnership at Spurs this season, and they have both been selected for England’s senior side recently, as reward for their fine form.
Ward-Prowse had played with the pair frequently at under-21 level for the Three Lions, and he now wants to follow in their footsteps.
"Dele and Eric are two good friends of mine and they have been in fantastic form for Tottenham," he said. "They’ve deserved their call.
‘It’s inspiring and promising to know my friends and team-mates are getting the opportunity. If I can replicate what I have done for Southampton and continue my progress for the Under 21s hopefully that will come.”
Alli and Dier have both been a key part of Tottenham’s brilliant start to the campaign, with the duo forming an effective barrier in front of the side’s defence.
The young pair have both played in defensive-midfield and excelled in the role, breaking up opposition an attacks and adding energy to Tottenham’s team.
Ward-Prowse, meanwhile, has also received regular action for Southampton this season, and he has been in good form throughout the campaign to date.
The youngster has also recently been named as England under-21 captain, and there are high hopes for his future for club and country.
