Report: Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb injury could rule him out of international duty

The midfielder has not played since the August clash with Everton.

Tottenham Hotspur have been in an impressive run of form recently. They remain unbeaten in the Premier League since the beginning of the season's opening game against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

They have also had to contend with plenty of injury issues recently. One player who has been out of action is Nabil Bentaleb.

The Algerian midfielder has been out of action since featuring against Everton at the end of august.

However he is on the verge of a comeback and has been called up for the Algeria national team for their upcoming World Cup qualifying double header against Tanzania.

The 20-year-old may not make it back in time for either tie however, despite the call-up. It has been reported by DZ Foot that the Tottenham midfielder has been training by himself at the nation's brand new Technical Centre in Sidi Moussa.

The report claims that he is a serious doubt for the first leg, but Algeria are confident he should be fit for the second leg in Blida next Tuesday.

Bentaleb will be hoping to impress as soon as possible. In his absence the likes of Mousa Dembele, Eric Dier and Dele Alli have thrived, seemingly pushing him down the pecking order.
