The Ivory Coast international has impressed in his first season in France.
The 24-year-old midfielder stands at just 5 ft 5 ins tall but is still cutting it at the highest level in French football.
The Ivory coast international, who made his debut for The Elephants against Morocco last month, has played 14 times for Nice since heading to France in the summer and has scored the one goal.
His performances have not only caught the eye of Southampton according to the report. French outfit Olympique Lyonnais are also keen on snapping up the midfielder, who has made quite an impact on French football this season.
Southampton already have plenty of options in the heart of midfield - with Victor Wanyama, Steven Davis, Jordy Clasie and Oriol Romeu all in the squad. However, with Wanyama nearly leaving the club in the summer Southampton would be wise to begin looking for potential replacements early.
Seri might just be that man.
