Trotter is now due to stay at the City Ground until December 7th, but Reds supporters aren’t exactly ecstatic that he is going to be sticking around.
Trotter has not made a great impression over his first few appearances for the Reds, with the midfielder seemingly struggling to find his best form.
The 27-year-old has taken a while to get up to speed, and Forest fans will be hoping to see an improvement in his performance levels now that he is more familiar with their team and tactics.
Trotter actually made an impressive start to life at Forest by scoring on his debut, but things have gone downhill since.
The former Millwall man has been criticised for giving the ball away too often, while he has not been able to enhance Forest’s attacking threat.
The Reds have struggled for goals this term, and a lot of their supporters have suggested that they would have preferred to see Dougie Freedman sign a striker, instead of extending Trotter’s loan.
Here is the best reaction from Forest fans on social media site Twitter to Trotter’s loan extension.

@Official_NFFC We need a striker, don't see the point in him being extended with certain players returning. He isn't that good either— Nick (@nffc82) November 11, 2015
