Everton prospect David Henen looks set to benefit from an extended run of first-team football at League One outfit Fleetwood.
The 19-year-old winger has moved to Highbury Stadium on an initial one-month loan deal, with Roberto Martinez seemingly keen for the player to gain more experience of English football.
Brought to Goodison Park from Olympiakos, at first on loan, Henen put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract with the Toffees over the summer.
However, the arrival of Gerard Deulofeu from Barcelona has seen the Belgium under-21 international struggle to force his way into the first team.
He will now look to make an impression at Fleetwood in League One, with the Cod Army currently languishing just inside the relegation zone.
Henen appeared wholly upbeat about the task at hand, however, taking to Twitter to not only tweet his excitement about the weeks ahead but also show his appreciation for Everton and the club’s supporters.
The midfielder scored six goals for the Toffees’ under-21 side last season and is no doubt relishing the chance to show what he can do at Fleetwood and potentially force his way into Martinez’s future first-team plans.
