Championship clubs interested in signing Liverpool youngster Joao Teixeira on loan

The Portuguese talent has impressed in the League Cup recently.

One Liverpool youngster who has immediately impressed since Jurgen Klopp's arrival at the club has been Portuguese attacker Joao Teixeira.

He put in an excellent performance in the Capital One Cup against Bournemouth recently but the 22-year-old is still not set for regular first-team football at Anfield.

It is now believed that the playmaker could be going back out on loan to the Championship, where a host of teams are keen on bringing him in to help their respective battles.

One such team is Bolton Wanderers, but as reported by the Bolton News, this deal looks unlikely as Teixeira is not keen on a relegation battle.

The Liverpool talent impressed in the Championship last season with Brighton and Hove Albion. Unfortunately his time with the Seagulls came to an abrupt end in April when he suffered a serious knee injury.

The 22-year-old joined Liverpool from Sporting Lisbon in 2012 and is regarded as one of their top talents. He previously had a spell on loan at Brentford and has worked hard to regain his fitness over the summer. A spell playing regular first-team football would certainly benefit his chances in the Liverpool first-team in the long run.
