Bolton close in on signing of Wolves winger Rajiv van La Parra.

Bolton Wanderers are hoping to bolster their squad with the loan signing of Dutch winger Rajiv van La Parra from Championship rivals Wolverhampton Wanders, HITC Sport understands.

Bolton boss Neil Lennon revealed last week that he was trying to bring in a new player to try and help lift his side out of their poor run of form.

HITC Sport understands that the mystery target for Lennon is Wolves' Van La Parra, who has found himself out of favour at Molineux this season.

The 24-year-old came close to leaving Wolves during the summer transfer window with a move to Leeds United, but the switch fell through at the last minute.

Van La Parra, who joined Wolves in the summer of 2014 from Heerenveen, was a regular in Kenny Jackett's side last season, but he has dropped down the pecking order since the arrival of Nathan Byrne from Swindon Town.

The flying winger has made just three starts in the Championship and Jackett is thought to be willing to loan him so that he can get some valuable first-team action under his belt.

Bolton are desperate to add to their squad as they look to climb their way to safety at the wrong end of the Championship table and end a run of form which has seen them pick up just one win in 16 games.
