The teenager is attempting to win a contract at Ajax, news which also broke the story of his summer trial with Forest.
Nottingham Forest have not been afraid to scout far and wide in recent times, especially in the goalkeeping department.
The club's second choice stopper at present is Dimitar Evtimov, a young Bulgarian signed from Chavdar Etropole when he was just 18-years-old. Forest brought in teenage Swede Tim Erlandsson this summer and it seems they had another talent on trial at the club in the summer.
A report in Romania states that Forest had young Romanian stopper Ionut Rus on trial back in July. The report from Gazeta Sporturilor claims that Rus was watched by Forest in the summer, but that he is now looking to secure a move to Ajax after a similar trial spell.
The talented 16-year-old was in fact pictured training with Forest in the summer but it has now been verified by a source in his homeland:
But it would seem he is now set to follow in the footsteps of the likes of countrymen Bogdan Lobont and Christian Chivu in trying to make a move to Amsterdam.
