Sol Bamba praises Leeds United teammate Alex Mowatt's shooting ability

Alex Mowatt has scored belters in Leeds United's last two matches.

Leeds United defender Sol Bamba has told the club’s official website that the whole team sees Alex Mowatt’s shooting ability on a regular basis in training.

Mowatt has scored two long-range stunners in as many matches over the course of the last week, as he has helped his team to victories over Cardiff City and Huddersfield Town.

But Bamba has not been surprised by the youngster’s turn of form.

He said: “We saw it last week and we see it week in, week out in training. We know he’s got that in his locker.

“We’re happy that it was the third goal and it was game over for us.”

Mowatt actually started this season slowly, and Uwe Rosler seemed to struggle to get the best out of the attacking midfielder.

The 20-year-old was regularly left on the bench by Rosler, but Steve Evans has been quick to restore the academy graduate into Leeds’ first-team.

Mowatt seems to be brimming with confidence at the moment, and he will be aiming to build on his displays from last season – where he managed to hit the back of the net on nine occasions.

Mowatt will be hoping that the current international break does not disrupt his momentum, though, with Leeds’ next match coming against Rotherham United in two weeks’ time.
