Celtic signed Ryan Christie from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the summer transfer window.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila plans to hold talks with midfielder Ryan Christie soon over his future, according to The Scottish Sun.

Christie joined Celtic from Scottish Premiership rivals Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the summer transfer window and was sent back to Caley on a season-long loan deal.

The Hoops have the option to recall the 20-year-old midfielder in January, and The Scottish Sun claims that Deila plans to speak with him over whether to bring him back to Celtic Park and allow him to remain at Inverness for the remainder of the 2015-16 campaign.

“Talks had been planned for this week during the international break but have been put on hold until it’s known precisely what damage there is to his knee, with the Hoops medical staff consulting with the Caley Thistle medical team,” claims The Scottish Sun.

The report claims that Christie will undergo a scan later today in order to find out the extent of the knee injury which he suffered against Motherwell away from home in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.

Inverness are eighth in the league table at the moment with 17 points from 14 matches.

Meanwhile, Celtic are currently at the top of the standings with 35 points from 14 matches, six points clear of second-place Hearts.
