Rangers are flying high at the top of the Scottish Championship this season, and Martyn Waghorn has told the Evening Times that there is a shared mentality amongst the players which is behind their success.
“We are Rangers and we want to win every game we can,” he said. “That is the mind-set of the boys and the only thing we are focusing on. We go out to win every game we can.”
Waghorn has been one of the standout performers for Rangers this season, in a team which has been performing exceptionally in the Scottish Championship.
They sit atop the league table after 13 games, with 36 points keeping them five clear of closest rivals Hibs - who are the only team to have dealt the Gers a defeat this term.
Mark Warburton has his players all unified and sharing the same mentality, and Waghorn has admitted that the message each player understands is that Rangers want to win every game they play.
A club of their size deserves to be back in the Scottish Premiership, and whilst Celtic fans may not want the Gers in the top league, it can only be a good thing for Scottish football to have that competition back.
Waghorn has been one of the true stars of the season for Rangers, and he appears to have bought into the mentality of Rangers as a football club with ease, along with a number of his fellow summer signings.
