Crystal Palace looking to find promising defender Luke Croll a Football League loan spell

Crystal Palace Selhurst Park

HITC Sport understands that Alan Pardew is keen for the youngster to get vital first-team experience under his belt.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew wants to send young defender Luke Croll out on loan, HITC Sport understands from sources close to a proposed deal.

The 20-year-old has broken into the first-team squad at Selhurst Park this season and was on the bench for their clash with Watford earlier this season.

Now Pardew wants to see the left-sided centre-half get some first-team experience under his belt in order to enhance his clams for a spot in the senior squad when he returns.

HITC Sport understands that Palace have already fielded enquiries from a number of Championship and League One clubs, and are hopeful of concluding a deal in the coming weeks.

Lambeth-born Croll has been with Palace since he was 13 years old and is rated very highly by the South London club.

His path may be blocked at present, but there are high hopes for his future and spell elsewhere should do him the world of good as he continues with his development.
