West Ham United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to the news that Dimitri Payet could miss all action for the next three months.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder suffered an ankle injury during the Premier League game against Everton at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday afternoon.
Payet tried to shake it off but he had to be substituted in the 50th minute, as the game in London ended in a 1-1 draw.
The former Lille attacker has been one of the best players in the Premier League so far this season.
The Frenchman has scored five goals and created 46 chances in 12 league matches.
Payet has a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 65%, and has won one header, 28 dribbles and seven tackles.
Following the announcement of the injury news on Monday evening, West Ham fans took to Twitter to have their say.

Easy to be angry about Payet, but it won't make him un-injured. Zarate and Antonio must step up, otherwise its mid-table again #COYI— Thomas Baxter (@ThomasBaxter27) November 9, 2015
I am going to accentuate the positive. Imagine the boost West Ham’s title challenge is going to get when Payet returns in the New Year #COYI— James Harris (@JRT_Harris) November 9, 2015
