Arsenal legend Thierry Henry said on the Live Ford Super Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 on Sunday evening that he was impressed with Dele Alli’s performance against Arsenal.
The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder started the North London derby at the Emirates Stadium and played for 82 minutes.
Former Arsenal striker Henry was impressed with the performance of the England international in the Premier League encounter and said on the Live Ford Super Sunday show on Sky Sports 1 during half time: “Dele Alli winning battles, pushing people, winning battles here at the Emirates. Well done.”
Ex-Celtic and Arsenal striker John Hartson was also impressed with Alli’s display and said on BBC Radio 5 live: “What a player Dele Alli is. He has controlled the play and made good use of the ball. He looks a good athlete.”
Former Manchester United and Newcastle United striker Andy Cole also sang the praises of the 19-year-old, posting the following message on social networking site Twitter:
Dele Ali bossing the midfield.. Saw him few times at MK last season! Proper talent— Andrew Cole (@vancole9) November 8, 2015
Alli was arguably the best player for Tottenham against Arsenal and once again showed his quality.
The 19-year-old former Milton Keynes Dons talent took one shot, had a pass accuracy of 65%, put in one cross, attempted 11 dribbles, and made two interceptions and one block.
