Sheffield Wednesday defender Jack Hunt has taken to Twitter to admit the team were not good enough at the weekend against Charlton Athletic.
The Crystal Palace owned 24-year-old played all 90 minutes at right-back as the Owls suffered a surprise 3-1 defeat at The Valley.
Wednesday were never in the game, going three goals down before Fernando Forestieri scored a consolation in the 73rd minute.
Hunt did not attempt to offer an excuse for the team's performance, simply saying it was not up to scratch and the team would be striving to put it right.
Saturday wasn't good enough from us. We wasn't at it, which is unusually. little break now then back at it #swfc— Jack Hunt (@Hunty32) November 9, 2015
Travelling support was unreal just sorry we didn't deliver!! But stick together through thick and thin #swfc— Jack Hunt (@Hunty32) November 9, 2015
Sheffield Wednesday have had a terrific month, with the highlight being the Capital One Cup win over Arsenal, but their Championship form had been good too.
In a long season, teams are going to have off days like against the Addicks, it is just an issue of ensuring they are rarities and results do not follow on.
Wednesday remain in the top half, currently in ninth position, just four points off the play-off places, and host under performing Huddersfield Town in their next fixture after the international break.
