Report: Leeds United dismiss rumours of loan move for Stoke City striker Peter Crouch

Leeds United were reportedly interested in signing Peter Crouch on loan from Stoke City.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United have dismissed claims that they are trying to sign Peter Crouch from Stoke City.

Leeds have been linked with making a loan move for Crouch, but it seems that these reports are wide of the mark.

Steve Evans does reportedly want a forward, but the YEP claims that Norwich City’s Kyle Lafferty and Lewis Grabban are more likely targets.

Evans has commented before on Leeds’ desire to bring in three new players, as he looks to make his mark on the team.

The Whites currently have the ideal scenario to bring in new faces to their squad, as they have two weeks away from competitive action due to the international break, meaning that any new additions will have time to settle in.

One of Leeds’ targets is thought to be Liam Bridcutt, but the Sunderland midfielder’s loan has still not been completed yet.

Crouch, meanwhile, will be hoping to break back into Stoke’s starting line-up – as he has made just five appearances for the Potters this term.
