Newcastle United forward Ivan Toney has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his loan move to Barnsley.
The 19-year-old has joined the League One outfit on an initial 28-day loan deal.
Happy to join @bfc_official on loan. Can't wait to get started and score some goals and make a difference for such a good club.— Ivan Toney (@ivantoney24) November 9, 2015
Toney moved to Premier League outfit Newcastle from League Two side Northampton Town in the summer transfer window.
The talented forward has made three appearances for the Magpies so far this season, including one in the Premier League.
The teenager is one for the future, and he was never going to play regularly for the Newcastle first team this campaign.
Sending Toney out on loan to Barnsley is a good move from Magpies’ head coach Steve McClaren.
At Oakwell, the youngster will get chances and will get to play in a competitive environment.
The Tykes are third from bottom in the League One table at the moment with 14 points from 16 matches, two points behind 20th-place Blackpool.
Meanwhile, Newcastle currently find themselves 17th in the Premier League table with 10 points from 12 matches, just two points above the relegation zone.
